Big Bruce

Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier x Mastiff
Size: Medium
Energy level: High
About me: Bruce is energetic, playful, and friendly. He’s a strong boy with a big personality who loves being around people. Affectionate and always ready for a fuss, he also has a cheeky side that keeps things fun!
Cats: No.
Dogs: He has walked well alongside other dogs here at the shelter, but he would prefer to be the only dog in his new home. He would benefit from continued socialisation with other dogs outside the home, at a pace that he is comfortable with.
Children: 15 years and over.
Ideal home: Bruce is looking for humans who can continue his training and provide plenty of walks, stimulation, and affection. He would suit a home where he won’t be left alone for long periods. Bruce is a very strong boy – particularly when his high prey drive kicks in. He’ll therefore need an owner who is confident and comfortable handling his strength.

About me: Sparky is an active boy who – once he knows you’re his friend – is incredibly affectionate and loving. He’s very intelligent and a fast learner. Life hasn’t always been kind to Sparky so he can sometimes find the world a little overwhelming. More than anything, he is looking for a place where he can finally feel safe, secure, and loved.
Cats: No.
Dogs: No.
Children: Adult only (or 16+ if dog-savvy).
Ideal home: Sparky needs an experienced and committed home with patient owners who are around most of the time and willing to help him build confidence at his own pace. In the right home, we truly believe Sparky will become a loyal and wonderful companion.

About me: Baxter is a typical energetic, playful youngster who will shower you with love without hesitation! He’s a strong, affectionate boy who – while still needing to learn some basic manners – will make a truly wonderful companion with the right guidance.

Ideal home: Baxter is looking for owners who are prepared to socialise and train a big, bouncy puppy, keeping his learning fun, rewarding, and stimulating, with plenty of affection along the way.

About me: Delta is a handsome hound who may be shy at first, but he soon becomes inquisitive and friendly with everyone he meets.
Cats: No.
Dogs: Delta currently finds interactions with other dogs overwhelming so will need to be the only dog in the home. He would benefit from socialisation with other dogs outside the home.
Children: 12 years and over.
Ideal home: : Delta will need owners experienced with sighthounds or other high-prey-drive breeds. He would love a quiet home where he can relax and enjoy life away from the track. He will need engaging but easy-to-manage walks, along with plenty of comfort and companionship.
