We are temporarily closed to all volunteers and visitors – until further notice.
This is to protect the health of our permanent staff – many of whom have existing health conditions. If our staff get poorly, then there will be no one to look after our animals. We cannot take this risk. Our animals need us!
If you have a genuinely urgent enquiry, please call 02380 693282 – leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Our gates will now be locked, but we will be installing a bell tomorrow, so that staff can be alerted for deliveries or any urgent callers.
If you would like to donate items for our animals, please leave them outside our gate and we will see them on the CCTV.
We understand that people may be disappointed by our decision, but it is really not one we have made lightly and we hope that you respect this.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Who We Are
Our shelter is based at Sunnyside Cottage, Mortimer’s Lane, Fair Oak, Eastleigh in Hampshire. We care for, rehabilitate and re home numerous domestic animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, caged birds, various small mammals and reptiles.
We are a small shelter with only four full time and one part time member of staff. Some of our animals were unclaimed strays, others were handed over by their owners who were unable to care for them any longer for a variety of reasons.
Rehome a Pet
Our animals are well looked after and given lots of care. View all our animals currently for adoption.
The Staff and Volunteers always love to hear how ex St Francis animals are getting on in their new homes. Would you like to share your story? Please email our shelter manager- Helen Kerris Shaw.
At St. Francis Animal Welfare, we have several resident animals, whom we give lots of extra love and care. View some of our current residents here.
