The animals available for adoption are always changing and we try to keep our website up to date but it is advisable to contact the shelter to see if an animal has found a home, or if there are any new animals for adoption.

Percy & Smudge

Age: 13 years

Sex: Males

Breed: DSH

Colour: Percy – grey & white, Smudge – black & white

About me: Percy & Smudge came to us as they were finding the young children in their previous home too overwhelming. Since being with us, they have been quite shy but once they know you they are friendly and enjoy being stroked. At their last vet visit they were both purring away quite happily!

Cats: No.

Dogs: No.

Children: Adult only home.

Ideal home: They are looking for a quiet home and would like a garden to explore once they’ve settled in.

Age: 5 months

Sex: Female

Breed: DSH

Colour: Black

About me: Raisin is a friendly and affectionate kitten. She loves to be around people and is very playful!

Cats: Yes, she could live with another cat after a careful introduction.

Dogs: Yes, she could live with a cat friendly dog after a careful introduction.

Children: 8 years and over.

Ideal home: She would like a garden to explore once she’s settled in.

Dolcie

Age: 7 months approximately

Sex: Female

Breed: DSH

Colour: Black & white

About me: Dolcie was very shy initially but is now finding the confidence to come out and spend time with people. Once she knows you she is incredibly affectionate, playful and gives the best head bops!

Cats: Yes, she would like to live with another cat.

Dogs: No.

Children: 12 years and over.

Ideal home: She would like a garden to explore once she’s settled in.

Age: 12 years approximately

About me: Fluffy is an incredibly affectionate and friendly boy. He would love to find a home where someone is around most of the day to keep him company.

Ideal home: He would like a garden to explore once he’s settled in.

Ziggy

Age: 10 years

Sex: Male

Breed: DSH

Colour: Black & white

About me: Ziggy is shy initially but is affectionate once he gets to know you. He is finding the cattery environment quite overwhelming and would prefer a quiet home where he can get some more 1 to 1 attention.

Cats: No.

Dogs: Yes, he could live with a cat friendly dog after a careful introduction.

Children: 12 years and over.

Ideal home: He would like a garden to explore once he’s settled in.

Gwyn & Gwen

Age: 6 months approximately
Sex: Male & Female
Breed: DSH
Colour: Black

About me: Gwyn & Gwen were born outside and haven’t had much human contact until being in our care. They have gained some trust in us since being at the shelter, and have seen the vets for vaccinations and their spay & neuter, but are still nervous of people and being handled.

Ideal home: They will either need a very patient home with an existing confident cat where they can take as much time as they need to get used to living with people or a suitable yard or outbuilding where they would be looked after daily and have their needs met.

Fred & Barney

DOB: April 2024

Sex: Males 

Breed: DSH 

Colour: Black & white 

About me: Affectionately know as 1 eyed Fred and 2 eyed Barney here at the shelter. Fred came to us with one eye but this doesn’t cause him any issues. They are incredibly friendly and love people. 

Cats: No.

Dogs: No. 

Children: 12 years and over. They could live with a younger child if they are calm and cat savvy. 

Ideal home: They are looking for a quiet home with a garden to explore once they’ve settled in. Fred will need supervised time outside. 

Medical: Fred has been diagnosed with a heart murmur but is not on any medication for it, as advised by the vet. If you would like to know more please contact us to speak to the manager.
